Life…

The high school graduation ceremony for my eldest son is this Wednesday, I’m very glad we’ll be able to attend this one (my daughter’s was streamed because of CoVid). He’s finished now with school, except for his HSC (final exams) which begin early October. He won’t know until November at the earliest if he has gained a place at the university of his choice.

Because Thursday has been declared a nationwide public holiday to memorialise Queen Elizabeth, it will also be the last day of Term 3 for my youngest son, so he will be on school holidays for the next two weeks.

My youngest daughter has gone back to Uni to finish the last semester of her second year, she’ll be home for the summer early November.

My eldest daughter dropped by tonight, she is settling well into her new flat, though I don’t think they are doing a lot of cooking, the Hungry Jacks (aka Burger King) literally across the road is proving too tempting.

Tomorrow I’m picking up my new reading glasses, and I’m looking forward to attending an author talk by Petronella Govern at my local library in the evening.

It’s going to be a busy week for me.
