I encourage participants who aren’t sure what to select for each category to look for recommendations from other book bloggers who they read and follow, or browse lists such as Goodreads Listopia, Library Booklists, or whatever source is favoured, however I thought I might offer a few gleaned from my own browsing.
Make sure you click here and check out participants links too
For the next three weeks I will post some examples that might inspire your own selections
Click the cover for more information about each title at Goodreads
Memoir
Disaster Event
Social Science
Related to an Occupation
Currently I’m reading Last Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 (disaster event)……slow going because more than one chapter a day is overwhelmingly sad. I appreciate the unique structure of using survivors’ oral accounts to tell the story.

What a great challenge and to encourage more readers to pick up non fiction books! I don’t read non fiction often but really enjoy women’s studies and feminist manifestos. Looking forward to following along to pick up some recommendations!
