Life…

It’s not even summer yet but high temperatures and wind are currently fanning several fires in my area. As you can see in the map below, my town of Taree (about 350km north of Sydney in NSW) is currently ringed by blazes burning through the bush, blanketing us with smoke. Thankfully we are not facing any direct threat, but several areas around us have been evacuated, and some property, and wildlife, has been lost. My husband works right where that red diamond is … about a 20 minute drive south from us, and may end up with a few days off due to road closures. Hopefully the rural fire service will get them under control soon though.

 

On a lighter note, I’m taking part in Nonfiction November this month, I’ll be posting every Friday in reply to the prompts, and reading and reviewing as many non fiction books as I can. Are you taking part?

Confessions of a Bookseller by Shaun Bythell
