I was delighted to be able to attend the Australian Voices in Print Tour this past week. The first ever multi-publisher author tour of regional Australia, traveling through NSW covering 11 towns from Bathurst to Lismore from May 24th to June 5th.
Joined by Simon & Schuster publicist, Anna and Harlequin publicist, Lilia, in Taree on June 3rd I had the honour of introducing authors Karen M Davis, Tricia Stringer and Jenn J McLeod, to those that gathered at my local library for the evening.
Each author shared a little about themselves and their latest books, before answering a slew of questions from the interested listeners about writing, reading and the tour. At the request of the crowd, they each read a few pages of their respective novels. After the formalities, the authors mingled with the guests before offering to sign books.
Generously the ladies invited me to dinner afterwards and we had the opportunity to chat, laugh and of course talk about books over some lovely Italian food. I had a wonderful evening and was thrilled to meet authors I admire. If you are ever lucky enough to have any of these women visit a town near you, make sure you go along and see them!
These lovely authors are new to me, but I am eager to see what’s available from them. Thanks for sharing.

I’m not sure if any are available in the US Laurel, but perhaps sooner rather than later!

What a lovely post, Shelleyrae. It was so good to finally meet you in person. You are such a wonderful supporter of Aussie authors. The tour helped make a little noise and promote Australian fiction. We need to roar a little every now and then so more people discover home grown reads. Thank you for your involvement.
