Stuff on Sunday: It’s a good day when…

I was thrilled to receive a copy of the Victorian Police Journal who published my review of The Robbers by Paul Anderson this month, alongside a Q&A with the author.

(that’s my byline in the black box)

I am also proud to share that this week I achieved my self imposed goal of reading and reviewing 100 books for the Australian Women Writers’ Challenge during 2012. In fact by the end of December I will have exceeded that number. It has been an incredibly rewarding task, if a slightly exhausting one. I have read some fantastic books from a range of genre’s that I would likely not have picked up if it wasn’t for the challenge, you can view the extensive list HERE.

The challenge has gained national recognition here is Australia – The Overland Literary Journal declared 2012 The Year of Australian Women Writers partly because of the success of the challenge and the challenge was named as one of 2012’s 20 Greatest Moments for Women by DailyLife. I am really proud to be a part of it, both as a participant and behind the scenes.

Signup’s for the 2013 challenge are up and I encourage you to join HERE

Fantastic! Congrats on both your publication (although publishing on the internets totally counted already, right?), and on reaching 100 books for the challenge! I’ve enjoyed reading about them.
