  2. Another action-packed year Shelleyrae! I am with you on Kate Forsyth’s ‘Bitter Greens’. Historical fantasy is not a normal genre for me and this one turned out to be even more beautiful on the inside than its gorgeous cover – one of my favourites for 2012 also.

    1. I think I have to stop saying I am not a fan of Historical fiction because I have really enjoyed all of the books I have read from the genre this year – Bitter Greens, In Falling Snow, absolution Creek etc

  3. Great post Shelleyrae and an impressive lot of reading and blogging achievements under your belt. I shall be doing a version of this meme instead of a top ten this year – but will wait another couple of weeks just to be sure there’s no late surprise entries for any of the categories.

Thanks for all your great reviews, interviews and other contributions – I don’t always comment as much as I’d like to as these days I do a log of my blog hoppiing while on the bus but I always your blog with interest and learn something new.

  4. Awesome! I’m going to do my retrospective on Dec 31… not sure if I’ll do this exact survey though (although it’s a great one), because I didn’t read many newly 2012 published books this year. I did read Gone Girl though and I agree! Oh just one more chapter… WHOA!!… okay now I gotta read one more chapter… one more… WHOA!! 🙂

    1. A lot of the books are authored by Australian’s which are often difficult to source overseas. Bring on the global book market!
