Stuff on Sunday: Challenge Updates

I have been incredibly slack at keeping up a record for the challenges I’ve been participating in, so here is an update…

Borrowed Book Challenge 2011

A quick check of my library loan history says I have borrowed 47 books so far. The number is a lot less this year, usually it is well over 100, but I have been inundated with books for review!

How are you going?

Goodreads 2011 Reading Challenge

This is just depressing, though I knew it was a wishful thought rather than a realistic goal. I know I won’t meet it but I did my best. The numbers should be about 240 by the end of December  – not a bad effort!

However as of today I have read 218 books toward my goal of 364 books.

Aussie Author Challenge 2011

E-Book Challenge 2011

My goal was Monomaniacal – Read 100 e-books.

This one is actually complete.. I have easily read over 100 books in e-format this year. After the 31st December when the challenge ends I will make a wrap up post.

I already have a list of challenges i am planning to participate in next year!

How are you doing with whatever challenges you have taken on this year? What challenges are you planning to get involved in next year?

I hate to admit it but I was not able to meet any of the challenges I set for myself last year. As of now I have not joined any for next year as I have not found any to join but if I see some I will I just hope I am able to do better than I did this past year. My question is where did the year go as it seems it just started and now it is getting ready to be over?

Looks like you’ve done very well in your challenges. I only really joined one for this year and had to read 12 books by British authors and I’ve more than doubled that total… but it was an easy enough target.

Not many people would be disappointed with only around about 240 books for a year. I have a few challenges which I met easily, but a couple that I have done absolutely nothing on! Time to start thinking about challenges for next year!

A combination of too much ambition & lack of time, means I’m nowhere near where I should be on a lot of my challenges, so next year I’m paring back, whilst allowing myself to enter quick monthly or one off hops, challenges etc.

Wow that’s impressive. Sadly this will be the first year in the 4 that I’ve participated that I won’t complete the 100+ Challenge. Anyways no doubt I’ll line-up again next year lol
