What Do You Recommend…?

There are a few book recommendation sites floating around,  have you tried any? I didn’t realise there were quite so many. I take most of my suggestions from Goodreads and book blogs that I browse, but it’s fun to waste an hour or two browsing through some of the sites following recommendation after recommendation. Here are a bunch you can browse through when you have the time…

Goodreads shows recommendations on individual book pages – based on what other people who have read that book have also read, there are also the listopia lists that cane be fun to browse through.

I used to occasionally look through the Amazon Recommendations listing, but these days I really just rely on recs from blogging buddies! I hadn’t even noticed the recs on Goodreads and I am on there all the time!

A few of these are new to me and I can’t wait to check them out.

I was wondering, how do you get a picture of each of these to post on your blog? If you could email me with instructions, I’d so appreciate it. 🙂

I recently visited a blog where the post topic was about book recommendations and how you feel when people don’t like the books you recommend. It landed several comments and many of them were very insightful.

The best recommendation I received was “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff and Its All Small Stuff” by Richard Carlson. I’ve stopped recommending anything unless asked. I’m going to visit these sites!
