Today’s question over at Crazy-For-Books:
“What is the one bookish thing you would love to have, no matter the cost?”
—————————————————————–
I really want a Kindle. I read ebooks on my iPod touch primarily which I love, but I’d love to have the option of a Kindle to read on as well. A few more bookshelves wouldn’t go astray either, my 3m x 5m bookshelf is sagging in the middle (a bit like me LOL).
What’s on your wish list?
This week at parajunkee the question is:
If you have, or would have a daughter, what book would you want your daughter to read?
I blogged a little while ago about how important Judy Blume’s books were to me and how I hope to share them with my daughters. I still have a lot of my favourite childhood classics like the Anne of Green Gables series and Little Women, I also kept my Sweet Valley High and Dolly Fiction 🙂 I haven’t been very successful in getting my 14yo daughter interested in reading but I still have high hopes for my youngest who is only 7 and already reading way above her grade level.
Do you have a book you would recommend for my 14yo reluctant reader?

I loved Sweet Valley as a kid but I don’t know that they hold up well. Similarly, I’d love to have my daughter read Babysitter’s Club books but I don’t know that she’d like them. Do you not have a Google connect follow option? I didn’t see it. I’m following you on Twitter instead.
Happy hopping!

Aw wow, those are very lovely books! I can’t even remember how long it’s been since I’ve read those books! Did you try Harry Potter with her? 😛
Also, I’d love an e-reader also! I hate reading on my laptop, so if I get a .pdf or an e-gally, I put those off until the very, very last of my tbr pile. 😡

Those are some good books. I remember reading the BabySitters Club when I was around that age.
I also want a kindle or nook. I’ve been hinting to people that’s what I want for christmas , but I’m not sure I can wait that long I might end up having to get myself one.

Anne of Green Gables was and still is one of my favorite series.
I’m not too sure about the kindle or any of the e-readers…I still love the feel of holding the book in my hand. My wish is for a reading room. My full answer can be found here – I also have a giveaway going on.

We seem to have alot in common!! I have a 14-year-old daughter as well who loves to read. I posted on my blog today that Judy Blume is one author I have shared with my daughter as well. I have all my books from when I was a young teen reading Sweet Valley High and my daughter loves those books! Have a great weekend!! I look forward to reading more of your posts.

Happy Halloween!
I’m here for the blog hop and Follow Friday! I just love these. Answer for the Hop is an IPad or Kindle. Answer for the Follow Friday is: The books I would chose would be Dr. Suess’ when she was young then as she grew older I would definitely recommend the Nancy Drew and Trixie Beldon books! I loved them when I was young. Here my links and you can find me on facebook too!

You know, when I was about 14 I wasn’t interested in reading and my Mom made me the deal that for every book I finished, I would get something I wanted (something small… but something, none-the-less) I started reading so much that she had to refine our deal 🙂 Maybe something like that would work?
