Armchair BEA: Best of 2012

Today is the launch of Armchair BEA for those of us who can’t travel to the Book Expo America in New York City. Tuesday’s topic is to choose your favourite reads of 2012, and those that you are looking forward to.

I’ve given a handful of the books of the 120+ I have read 5 stars this year (you can see them all by clicking on the 5 star category in my sidebar).

I highlighted Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth yesterday, here are three more favourites: Night Beach is a fabulous Australian YA with a hint of paranormal, The Betrayal is a shocking crime novel, Gone Girl is an extraordinary story of suspense. Click on the covers to learn more…

Of the BEA titles I am most looking forward to

Wow, 120+ already? That is pretty amazing. And pretty sad I’ve not heard of any of these books! Apparently, I need to get out and read even more. Great choices!

I’ve heard that Night Beach was great. :) I’ve really wanted to start the Iron Druid series. I’ve got the first few books, so I’m glad that you’re super excited for this one, must be pretty amazing then! :D

Thanks for sharing your Best of 2012 list and the ones you’re excited for from BEA! :)

You really must read them – once you have started with the Iron Druid Chronicles you wont be able to stop!

I like the look of Night Beach! I’ve had good luck with Australian authors.

There are way too many books I haven’t read, and yet again nothing on your list.

Night Beach was fab… I’m about to read The Betrayal soon…and I’m a third of the way through Gone Girl and really enjoying it! I like Cathy Kelly – I’ll probably bludge a read of her new one off my Nan when I’m visiting my family in July. Trapped looks interesting.
